Centre county first time home buyer program

The Centre County Housing Trust Fund provides:

Nice two story houseThe Centre County Housing Trust Fund is used to assist home buyers with down payment assistance. Home buyers may be able to obtain a maximum of $10,000, or 10% of the sales price (whichever is less).

The assistance loan will be made payable when the house is resold, refinanced for more than the original purchase price, ceases to be a full-time, permanent residence of the borrower(s), or when the mortgage has been paid in full.


You must occupy the property purchased as a primary residence - no investors

Asset limitation

At the time of application, the buyer’s liquid assets (cash) and real property shall not exceed $15,000 and at the time of settlement, the buyer’s liquid assets (cash) shall not exceed $5,000.

Sales price limit

Purchase price cannot exceed $237,000. Note: The purchase price is to be consistent with Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency’s Keystone Home Loan Program.

Income qualification

You must be a first time home buyer or not owned a home within the previous three years and meet the household income limits in non-targeted area.
