Documentary stamp taxes (“doc stamps”) are excise taxes that you pay on certain real estate documents, such as property deeds and mortgages. Unless you live in Miami-Dade County, you’ll pay $.70 for every $100 of the final sale price. For Miami-Dade residents, you’ll pay $.60 per $100.[2]
